*Oh, life.

HEY THERE BABIES! Long time, no bloggin'!

So much to say. I can't even keep up; my mind was racing at 3 a.m., yeah, no sleep for this woman.

Well hello there, and I hope you're all doing splendid. 

Virginia Beach was, eh-not the best, but fun, and made some memories. The fact is: It rained pretty much the whole time. Oh well. I made some cute little friends at the hotel.

Galaxy s3: holy hold mah earrings, I LOVE THIS THING. Instagram may be my new obsession.. :x

School: Tomorrow. 5 a.m. & I am scared to DEATH.

Ooo ooo! New love (0f food) cottage cheese on rice cakes...mmmmm, hellooo protein & heaven!

Red lipstick: love it. love it. love it.

Really been missing Eaton lately...I just feel like I'm living in someone else's house -_-

*Foooood NOM NOM Foooood*

Well hey there babies! What's poppin' today?

Okay, so today's post: FOOD. I freakin' love food.

But first: This will be my last blog post probably for about 2 weeks- this week i'll be in VA, then school starts the following week. SUCKY.

Anyways; allll summer i've been cooped up in this house, no friends, so food has saved me. Healthy food, that is. Since everyone's going back to school, I feel it's time for some guidance on food ideas-mainly this is for me to look back on and be like "ohhhh I'll have that today!" bahahah. Here's just a few ideas if you're like me, can't cook, bake, and hate to wait to eat-impatient.

Breakfast:

Smoothie- less than 100 cals & omg, DELICIOUS.
*1/2 cup of non-fat yogurt
*blueberries
*strawberries
*ice
blend & enjoy ;)

Protein Wrap- good for muscles & keeping you full.
*1/4 cup egg beaters
*any bread/wrap (i like chi chi's flour tortillas)
*spray butter (0 cals)
*cheese (any kind- white american thin sliced)
make the eggs, put it all in the wrap, and you've got at least 15 grams of protein, MMM :)

Magnificent Cereal- quick, easy, and crunchy.
*special k protein plus cereal- 3/4 cup
*low fat milk
*1 tbsp of ground cinnamon
*blueberries on the side
this is simple and boosts metabolism ridiculously!

Lunch:

Carrots & light ranch.
Apples.
Fruit salad.
Sandwich.
Soup.
Veggies.
Fruits.
Sugar-free pudding.

Snacks:

Almonds
Reduced fat pb.
Protein bars.
Cereal.
Dark choco.
Slow churned ice cream


Wellll i'm having a brain block now, psht. That's what I got for ya today. I personally love all these foods. Mmmmm. Well, adios for now :)

*Clothes Haul; Back To School I Go!

Finally, my clothes from Forever21 came today. Mainly I'm just putting them on here so I can remember the outfit ideas. 

Also, got 2 new pairs of AE jeans; $60- bargain for that store!!

I'm ready to go to school...hopefully in style.

Hello darlings!! How you doinnnn'? 

Today's topic is: well, 'sup.

Clothing: Lace. Jackets. Hello, gorgeous!! Just got a cream colored one and a black one, and they can literally go with ANYTHING! Highly recommend investing in one for this fall :)
-Get them at Kohls, Dots, f21, etc.

VAAACCCAYYYYYYY TIMMMEEEE!!!!

Finally my family and I are taking a nice vacation next week before we gotta start the thing we all dread: SCHOOL, GAAAHHHH..

We're heading to Virginia Beach, then up to DC to tour the city and yes, TOUR THE WHITE HOUSE!!! :D Super pumped.

Then. I'll be sitting in a classroom listen to teachers blab on and on..yay.

Electronics: Samsung Galaxy S3, YES! I don't want an iPhone because they're too "mainstream" and everyone has one. I'm steppin out of the box and going to buy this cute little dazzling piece of heaven. Yay.

Nails: MINT. NAIL. POLISH. <-- All I have to say.

Back to clothing: My favorite store to buy jeans from is definitely American Eagle. You know me,  how I don't like all the popular girl stuff, but I LOVE their jeans. Make ya booty pop, and they're worth the money. So comfy and don't constrict me.

Ah, ah I workoutttt: My muscles are aching oh so badly..and I love it.

*Food. I love food.

Why, hello there my little lovlies. How are you guys doin'?

I wasn't quite sure what topic I should pick for today's blog post. 
So, a food post shall do. If you're interested in creating a new, healthier lifestyle, continue reading. If not, well, hi anyways. 

Current Update: I may have bronchitis. I've been sick for over a month, which is noooo fun. Next weekend, I am going to Virginia Beach. Then to DC, YAY!
So hopefully, I will be all nice and healed before then.

Anyywayysss, enough of my blah blah. Back to the topic!

So most of you girls can eat whatever you want, do whatever you want, and live your everyday life. Some girls like myself, though, must work for it, sadly -_-

So if you are one of them, wanting to shed some elbees, I'll tell ya one thing:

I cannot express this enough. Lately, i've been seeing pictures that say "pretty girls don't eat" or "no eating = perfect body" NOOOOOO!!!! NO NO NO!!!!!!!!

This just makes me want to scream and shoot the people in society who make girls think that. 

First off, I FREAKING LOVE FOOD. I would literally die without it.

Second, if you're trying to lose weight, eating is key!! It speeds up your metabolism to keep it going throughout the day. If you think not eating will help lose the fat, COMPLETELY WRONG. Only causes your body to store fat and metabolism to slow. What does that cause? Weight. Gain. 

So for allll of you pretties out there, eat ya food. Eat it. Shove it down. 

If you'd like some help with that, well here you go: 

Breakfast. Mmm, my favorite. The most important meal for the day!
A glass of cold ice water boosts metabolism in the day. So even if you're not hungry, drink some water. It really helps.
I enjoy smoothies, english muffins with egg beaters, healthy cereal, or fruit. 

Lunch. Oh, lunch. Always looking forward to this at school.
Salads, protein bars, carrots w/light ranch, a sandwich, etc. Easy & great.

Dinner. Uh, yum. Eat whatever you want for dinner. 

Snacks.  These are what do me in. Snacking during the day. 
Granola bars, crackers, GOLDFISH!, wheat bread, fruits/veggies. Perf.

Dessert. I allow myself one small dessert a day. Dude, I love chocolate. Who doesn't?! Usually on Friday's or Saturday's, I'll have ice cream. 

AND LOTSA WATER!

This is all a very big lifestyle change for me. From ordering cheeseburgers & fries with huge ice creams, to ordering a veggie soup with brown rice. 

But lemme tell you; I feel so much healthier. So much better. 

To me, it's not about being skinny. It's about being healthy.

And heck, yes. Those nachos and cheese, or that giant brownie is acceptable! LIVE YOUR LIFE!!!! Don't constrict yourself. 

Do it for you.

*Popular Vs. Unique- CLOTHES!

-_- Yes, I just accidentally closed my whole tab when I just completed this blog already. Not too happy right now.

HELLO GALS! &...boys..

Point of this blog: I understand you girls who want to "fit in" and wear those AE skinny jeans, pair of Uggs, Hollister top. And if you can't, then you feel not good enough, and like people judge you...

So recently, I have been school shopping. As much as we all dread sitting in class, listening to teachers blab on and on, why not do it in style? 
And when I say style, NO, I do not mean spending $500 on brand name clothes that aren't comfortable and you just want to fit in. Fit in? I wanna STAND OUT.

One thing that just boggles my mind is why girls feel so compelled to spend so much money on Hollister, Sperrys, Abercrombie, etc. Yeah, I know, they have cute stuff. But do you find it cute ONLY because it's popular? Why not create your OWN style girls?! 

I bought maybe about half a new wardrobe...and spent less than $250.
Thanks to my mother, I know how to taking advantage of bargain shopping. WHEW! 

FOREVER. TWENTY. ONE. <-- my store heaven. As much as I hate ordering online, I was forced, since the closest is 3 hours away. 10 things for less than $100? Hey, works for me. 

When shopping, you MUST twiddle it down to the necessities/what you REALLY love. I learned this the hard way- having a closet full of ugly, mismatched clothes that were not flattering and non-useful. Now, I have learned to logically think while buying clothes- creating lists, asking yourself "well WHOA! That top over there is so cute! $20! ...but, do I REALLLYYY need it? What can I put it with?" 

By doing this, you'll soon find that you can mix and match many outfits instead of being the average everyday girl and wearing a brand-name tshirt, jeans & Uggs. No, i'm not bashing on you chickas that do-that is FINE! But for personal style, some girls just feel so compelled to spend that kind of money, and get depressed and feel like they're not good enough if they can't.

Create. Your. Own. Style. I had to learn to not care what people thought- and it turns out okay in the end. 

So anyways, here are just a few catches I got for back-to-school:

Eat Healthy, Workout, Die Anyways...

Or, eat, don't care, die anyways. Oh life. Don'tchya love it?

So, this post today is gonna be about body bashing. Such a terrible thing.

Don't get me wrong now, this DOES NOT mean that I have to eat fruits and veggies everyday. Hecckkkk no.

Psht, last night I got a cookie jar sundae at Friendly's. Uh, YUM? 

WOOO! Starting at the beginning of this year, I told myself I would stop stuffing my face with chocolate ding dongs and move my body a little more. I was tired of the fat, the feeling of crappiness after EVERYTHING I ate.

But does this mean I became anroexic? HECK. NO. I love food too much <3

Society these days has made girls SO afraid to gain weight or have curves, it's just disgusting. Marilyn Monroe for example- she was not a skinny twig; she loved her body. This is why I admire her. 

So anyways, I started hitting the gym and eating smaller portions. Well, when I moved here, to Vermont, things got put on hold for about a month. Between going out to dinnner every night and eating whatever, I gained TEN pounds!

Then I thought whoa there, this isn't healthy Lyndsey. I can do better.

So I changed once again. I found this AMAZING website, My Fitness Pal, and got on track. I started keeping a journal of what I eat/how I exercise and waalaa, today I lost my first 2 pounds! :))

I do not want to be some skinny twig, don't get me wrong. Fit is the new sexy.

You girls who can eat whatever you want, when you want; LUCKY YOU! :P

But for us, who want to feel happy with our bodies; i'm here for ya ladies.

GET A MY FITNESS PAL. It is amazing, and totallyyy free!

Start moving. I am on the Couch 2 5K program; & I never thought I could run. EVER. Now i'm almost done, running 9 minutes on incline and not dying!

Look into smaller portions- yeah, I know, potato chips are freakin' good. But is the taste really worth the fat thats gonna last? Instead, count how many you're having- and only eating the serving size, rather than a whole bag.

Healthy eating doesn't have to be gross- trust me, I LOVE FOOD. LOVE IT. 

If I get some requests, I'll jot down a few quick recipes/food I love (psht, I can't cook, so you know they're easy...)

Pinterest is a great motivator!

So alll in all, YOU'RE BEAUTIFUL. ALL OF YOU. 

And i'm here for anyone who wants to talk- because I understand how hard it is when you feel like no body wants you anymore and you're not good enough.
